| The accommodation
in the recently transformed Balcastle Holiday home expertly combines
modern comforts whilst maintaining many of the period features of
this elegant sandstone building and local landmark.
The entrance hall provides cloak and shoe changing facilities
and can accommodate sports equipment and golf clubs. The spacious
hallway affords access to all principle rooms, each of the generous,
well proportioned rooms are double glazed and a full gas central
heating system has been installed providing a snug, cosy ambience
even on the coldest days. All windows provide superb views of the
village or surrounding countryside.
Living & Entertaining
A vast Lounge/ Dining room 25 feet long with large bay window and
Victorian style fireplace has been fitted with a log effect electric
stove creating a welcoming focal point. Sumptuous leather seating
is provided for all guests, a large formal dining table with comfortable
high back chairs provides the ideal space for family meals and entertaining.
Entertainment facilities include large flat screen television, DVD, video
and sound system.
Catering
The bright galley shaped kitchen with is fitted with cooker, fridge
freezer and dishwasher together with all the usual conveniences,
for the ultimate in relaxation, we can also provide a professional
catering service at additional cost. A seperate utility room with
washing machine & tumble dryer offer the chance to return home
without the usual heap of laundry.
Bedrooms
Three large, light and airy twin bedrooms are available, two of
these have en-suite washroom and one has a seperate bathroom. Freshly
laundered bed linen and towels are provided weekly, however a mid-week
linen change is available at modest additional cost. The bedrooms
offer plenty of room for a cot which is available if required.
Central Location
Balcastle is located within easy walking distance of shops, pharmacy,
cafe, bank/auto-teller, post office, grocers, florists and doctors
surgery yet is only 100 metres from the 1st Tee of Lochmaben Golf
course and club house.
