There are numerous superb Golf courses all within easy reach, Lochmaben Golf Course is rated by the Sunday Times as one of the top 5 courses in Great Britain, for anglers there are opportunities for loch and river fishing, . Walkers can enjoy an 8 km walk following the Marlake burn passing many interesting and historic sites en-route.

In Lochmaben, the active Annandale Sailing Club actively encourages visitors, enjoy the spectacle of club races or take your own sailing dinghy and experience the breezes on the castle loch. Cyclists & MTB enthusiasts can experience the numerous cycle routes and mountain bike trails in the Mabie Forest and kids can have fun at nearby Dalscone fun farm.
